A classical and mythological composition from Dali's 1970 period. The central figure is a woman in flowing garments balancing a large basket of harvest fruits on her head, with two small winged putti on either side and radiating lines of light. The sepia red tint gives the print its distinctive warmth.

Salvador Dali was a Spanish artist, 1904 to 1989, and a central figure in Surrealism. In 1970 he created The Four Seasons suite, revisiting classical allegory with his own precise draftsmanship and mythological imagery.
The sanguine edition is printed in warm sepia red instead of standard black ink. It was issued in a smaller run and comes up for sale less often than the black version. Collectors value it for its soft chalk like tone that fits the classical subject.
You can notice the plate mark upon closer inspection. This is the light embossed line around the image where the copper plate pressed into the paper. That indentation is a sign of an original intaglio etching and shows this is not an offset reproduction.
